| USAF, Colo. - (Feb. 23) Nine different Falcon players scored goals, as the Air Force men's
lacrosse team won its season opener, defeating Mount Saint Mary's 11-6.
The Falcons opened up a 4-0 lead and never looked back. Kevin Hill scored the game's first goal and finished the game with two goals and an assist. Matt Dudderar notched a goal and two assists, while Kyle Warf had two goals. Six other Falcon players notched goals, including Greg Dangler, who had a goal and an assist. "We played outstanding defense and then scored enough goals to win," said head coach Fred Acee. "I am proud of our players and pleased with the way they played." Air Force goalkeeper William Arnold made 10 saves and the Falcon defense killed six of seven Mountaineer man up opportunities, including one with just three defensemen. The Falcons will be back in action on March 4, when they will travel to University Station, Pa., to take on Penn State. Mount Saint Mary's will play Denver Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Falcon Lacrosse Stadium. Game time is set for noon. |
