The Game Story:
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's lacrosse team remained undefeated in the Great Western Lacrosse League with a 10-6 victory at Air Force Friday in USAFA, Colo. The Buckeyes, on a three-game winning streak, improve to 7-4 on the year and 3-0 in the GWLL. The Falcons fall to 2-8 and 1-3 in conference action.

Four Buckeyes had three points in the win - Jeff Ryan and Kevin Buchanan each had two goals and an assist, while Joel Dalgarno and James Green each had a goal and two assists. Joe Benson chipped in two tallies, while Ben Drake and Mario Ventiquattro each had two points on a goal and an assist. Senior Eric O'Brien won 15-of-17 faceoffs and goalie Stefan Schroder made 14 saves.

Ohio State scored the first three goals of the game. Buchanan (Jr., Cockeysville, Md./Calvert Hall) scored just 32 seconds into the contest, assisted by Drake (Sr., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington). Dalgarno (Port Coquitlam, British Columbia/Western Reserve (Ohio) then found Benson (Sr., Baltimore, Md./Johns Hopkins/McDonogh) for a man-up goal with 6:38 left in the opening quarter.

Dalgarno scored a goal of his own 44 seconds into the second quarter, with an assist from Ryan Lowe (Fr., Fairport, N.Y./Fairport). Air Force scored the next two goals to cut the Buckeyes' lead to one (3-2), as Justin Kuchta scored at 10:41, followed by Kevin Crumrine's man-up score at 8:31. It was as close as the Falcons would get, as the Buckeyes went on a five-goal run, including scoring the final two goals of the quarter. Benson added his second man-up tally of the game, again on an assist from Dalgarno, with 4:20 remaining in the half. Ryan (So., Syracuse, N.Y./Hobart/West Genesee) closed out the scoring in the half with five seconds remaining, assisted by Buchanan.

Green (Fr., Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), set up by Ryan, tallied at 13:27 of the third quarter and then found Buchanan for a score with 8:45 left. Ventiquattro (Fr., Carthage, N.Y./Carthage Central) set up Drake less than a minute later (7:40), making the score 8-2 Buckeyes. Air Force's Will Meister ended the Ohio State run with an unassisted score with 3 minutes left in the third quarter.

Ryan scored a man-up goal, the Buckeyes' third of the game, 52 seconds into the final quarter, assisted by Green, extending the OSU lead to 9-3. Air Force outscored the Buckeyes, 3-1, in the final 7:36 for the 10-6 final. Ventiquattro, assisted by Corey Bentine (So., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington), tallied for Ohio State at 6:37, sandwiched between goals from Crumrine at 7:35 and 1:26. Griffin Nevitt ended the scoring with a goal with 31 seconds remaining.

The Buckeyes outshot the Falcons, 32-30. Schroder (Jr., Kirkville, N.Y./Onodaga C.C./East Syracuse Minoa) had 14 saves while playing all 60 minutes for the Buckeyes. Daniel Bellissimo had nine stops for the Falcons in 60 minutes.

Ohio State converted 3-of-6 man-up chances in the game, while Air Force was 1-for-5.

Game Notes
The Buckeyes held the Falcons to just six goals, the eighth time this season Ohio State has allowed fewer than 10 goals.

Ohio State, which came into the weekend second in the nation and first in the GWLL in man-down defense, allowed its first man-up goal since March 25 at UMBC. The squad had stopped 13-consecutive opponent chances before the Falcons' scored on their man-up chance in the second quarter.

Dalgarno is on a 24-game point streak (47-36-83) that began in the first game of last season (his first game as a Buckeye), with multiple points in the last 23. Dalgarno has at least one goal in each game this year and leads the team with a career-high 42 points, including a career-best 19 assists. His 42 points are the most for a Buckeye since current assistant coach Anthony Gilardi had 43 in 2005.

Buchanan is on a 26-game point streak that began with two games remaining in the 2005 season (May 1, 2005 vs. Fairfield). He has 45-35-80 totals during the stretch. He leads the Buckeyes with a career-high 20 assists this season and is second with 39 points. He has two or more goals in each of his last six games.

Ryan is on an 11-game point streak that began in the season opener. He is first on the team with 24 goals and third on the squad with 30 points. Ryan has multiple goals in eight games this season, including the last five, and has more than two points in all but one game this season.

Green's assists were the first of his career and the game was his first multiple-point outing as a Buckeye, while Bentine and Ventiquattro both had their first assists for the Scarlet and Gray. Ventiquattro is on a three-game scoring streak and has 4-1-5 totals over the stretch.

Benson ended a four-game scoreless streak with his third two-goal game this season. He now has a career-best nine goals this season.

All 10 of the Buckeyes' goals in the game were assisted.

The Buckeyes lead the all-time series with the Falcons and have won the last 10 games against Air Force.
