The Game Story:
ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany outscored Vermont 6-1 in the second half and the Great Danes remained undefeated in America East play with a 9-4 victory against the Catamounts at John Fallon Field on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Jack Reynolds posted two goals and an assist for Albany (3-9, 2-0 America East) while four different players scored a goal for Vermont (2-9, 1-1 America East).

Senior Dave Brock, junior Matt Johnson and sophomore Rocky Bonitatibus each scored twice for the Great Danes. Sophomore John Carroll had 11 saves.

Junior Liam Thomas (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.), sophomore Cal Case (Columbus, Ohio) and freshmen A.J. Masson (Newmarket, Ont.) and Augie Remien (Winnetha, Ill.) all scored for the Catamounts. Sophomore goalie David Barton (Hanover, Mass.) stopped 15 shots.

Vermont tied the game 3-3 going to halftime when Case scored with 37 seconds left in the second quarter. Freshman Garrett Virtue (Rye, N.Y.) picked up his second assist of the contest on the play.

Albany scored six unanswered goals to start the second half to take a commanding 9-3 lead. Reynolds had a couple of goals and an assist in the stretch as the Great Danes improved to 13-3 all-time against the Catamounts.

Sophomore Tom Frasca (Medfield, Mass.) won 12-of-17 face offs for the Catamounts. Albany outshot Vermont 40-33.
