The Game Story:
HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Junior Tom Daniels and sophomores Ben Grinnell and Brandon Wright scored a pair of goals as the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team opened the 2003 campaign with a 10-7 win over Colgate Saturday afternoon in Hamilton, N.Y.

Freshman Jamie Coffin had an impressive debut, tallying a goal and three assists, while Daniels and Grinnell also added assists to their point totals.

Senior Scott Roslyn got the Big Green's season off on the right foot when he put the Big Green ahead, 1-0, with 12:34 remaining in the first period.

Colgate built a 7-4 lead in the third period, but the Big Green fought back to score the game's final six goals. Wright, Daniels and Grinnell each potted goals to finally tie the contest at 7-7.

The Big Green (1-0) took the lead for good on a goal from Casey Burlage with 6:46 remaining. Freshman Brad Heritage tallied his first collegiate goal two minutes later, and Daniels finished the scoring with 1:09 remaining in the game.

Sophomore Andrew Goldstein made his first career start in goals, recording 13 saves. He helped shutout Colgate (1-1) for the last 26 minutes of the game.
