Dartmouth vs. Sacred Heart
March 23, 2003
The Game Story:
HANOVER, N.H. -- Freshman Jamie Coffin scored two goals and assisted on three others as the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team pulled away from a stubborn Sacred Heart squad, 10-5, on Sunday afternoon.

The Big Green outscored the Pioneers, 5-1, in the second half, on goals by five different players. Coffin, Russell Radebaugh and Tom Daniels each had one goal and one assist during that stretch for Dartmouth. Dartmouth started the game with a 4-2 lead after the first period and then built it to 5-2 with 9:20 remaining in the second period on Daniels' first of the day.

The Pioneers answered a pair of goals, including Stephan Grabow's with 27 seconds left in the half, to climb within one, 5-4. Daniels was the lone goal scorer in the third quarter, boosting the Dartmouth lead to 6-4.

After Radebaugh and Sacred Heart's Matthew Robideau traded goals midway through the fourth, the Big Green sealed the game with three in a span of 2:55. In the nets, Dartmouth's Andrew Goldstein made 10 saves, while Thomas Hind played most of the game for Sacred Heart, making 10 saves, before Jim Millhausen came on in relief.

Now 5-1 on the season, the Big Green has a chance to extend its record to 6-1, visiting the University of Hartford on Saturday, March 29. That would be the best start since the 1995 Dartmouth team began the year with a 7-1 slate.
