The Game Story:
HANOVER, N.H. - In a game that featured five ties and six lead changes the Dartmouth (5-6 overall, 1-2 Ivy) men's lacrosse team prevailed over the Yale Bulldogs with a 12-10 win Wednesday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field.

Yale (5-7 overall, 1-4 Ivy) took a tenuous 2-0 lead to start the contest but goals by Brad Heritage (Cheshire, Conn.) and Nick Bonacci (Crofton, Md.) at 9:08 and 5:39 pulled the Big Green even.

The Bulldogs took the lead at 1:45 in the first quarter but Jamie Coffin (Greenwich, Conn.) tied the game at 10:44 of the second with his first of two goals on the day.

Another Yale goal and a Bonacci tie at 9:14 kept the game close. Heritage however was able to give Dartmouth the lead for the first time in the game at 5:27 with Bonacci adding another to put the Big Green ahead by two.

Dartmouth scored again just before the break off a goal by defenseman Ben Lovejoy (Orford, N.H.). With both teams trying to pick up the ground ball, Lovejoy was able to scoop the ball up and shoot over Yale netminder George Carafides to give the Big Green it's biggest lead of the day at 7-4.

David Schecter gave Yale one back as time was winding down in the second to make it 7-5 at the half.

Yale's Tyler Casertano tied the game midway through the third quarter before Brian Koch (Rye, N.Y.) gave Dartmouth the lead back. Another Bonacci goal put the Big Green ahead 9-7 at 5:17. Two more Bulldog strikes and one by Dartmouth had the scoreboard showing 10-9 in favor of the Big Green after three quarters of play.

The Bulldogs scored first in the final quarter to knot the score at 10 before Coffin pulled the Big Green ahead for the final time. The senior captain scored on an acrobatic behind the back goal before Tim Daniels (Duxbury, Mass.) put one in for the final 12-10 score.
