Drexel vs. Lafayette
February 26, 2005
The Game Story:
Philadelphia, Pa. (February 26, 2005) - Drexel jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first half and it turned out to be too much for Lafayette to handle. The Dragons (1-1) opened up the scoring with three first period goals. Peter King got the Dragons on the board with his first goal of the season. Mike Filippone and Yoni Cohen also found the back of the net. After pouring in five goals in the second stanza, including two from Chris O'Connor, the Dragons headed to the locker room with a comfortable cushion.

Lafayette (0-1) fought back in the third period on goals from Jon Paulson and Bart Seifert, but a pair of Drexel goals in the fourth period put the game out of reach for the Leopards. Sean Moloney led all scorers with four points on two goals and two assists. Filippone, Cohen and O'Connor scored two goals apiece for the Dragons. Sophomore goalie Ryan Maggio picked up the win with 11 saves. Freshman Brian Bickford chipped in with one save. Lafayette's Chris Rosa and Ryan Caso combined for 17 saves.

The Dragons return to action on March 2, when they travel to Saint Joseph's to take on the Hawks at 7:00 p.m.
