| Philadelphia, Pa. - The Drexel Dragons fell to the CAA-foe Villanova
Wildcats 10-4 on Friday night at Franklin Field. Freshman Jesse
Rumble netted a hat trick but it was not enough to hold off the
Wildcats as the Dragons fell to 1-3 on the season.
Villanova opened up the scoring at 8:35 in the first quarter off a goal by Mark Creegan. Rumble tied the score at one with a goal at 2:33, assisted by Pat Friel. In the second stanza, the Dragons and Wildcats traded goals making the score 4-3 at halftime. Rumble scored a goal unassisted at 5:50 and Sean Moloney added another goal 30 seconds later, assisted by Pat Friel. Villanova scorers were Fanelli, Creegan, and Marks. In the third period, the Wildcats put away four more goals to Drexel?s one to make the score 8-4. Rumble scored the Dragon?s final tally at 6:40. Villanova scored two goals in the fourth period to make the final score 10-4. The Dragons are off until March 16, when they host Ohio State at Franklin Field at 12 p.m. |
