The Game Story:
Philadelphia- Drexel scored the first five goals of the game and never trailed en route to a 13-4 victory in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for each team. Jeff Pfeffer scored three times to lead the Dragons (2-1), while Greg Dougherty had a goal and four assists as Drexel won for the second-straight game after dropping its season opener to Virginia.

Mike Filippone got the Dragons on the board just 15 seconds into the game after winning the face-off. Jesse Rumble, Dougherty, Ron Garline and Matt Musci followed with goals before the Colonials finally got on the board with just over three minutes left in the first period when Carlos Sunseri scored.

Pfeffer scored his first goal of the contest in the early minutes of the third quarter to put the Dragons up 6-2. Just over a minute later freshman Jon Van Houten gave Drexel a six-goal lead with an extra-man goal. RMC's Brendan Arthur scored an unassisted goal as the team's went to intermission with Drexel ahead, 7-2.

Drexel's lead swelled to seven as the Dragons scored the first three goals of the second half to put the game away. Pfeffer had towo of those goals, while freshman Kevin Dart also got on the board. Chris O'Connor, Drew Mandella and Rumble added goals in the final period, while the Colonials last two goals were scored by Billy Conques and Lee Davis.

Bruce Bickford made four saves for Drexel in three quarters. Robert Morris had nine saves from Jason Kho before he was replaced at halftime by Jason Dockum. Dockum allowed six goals and made six stops.

Drexel returns to action on Wednesday to play cross-town foe Saint Joseph's at Vidas Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
