The Game Story:
HANOVER, N.H. -- Sophomores Jamie Coffin and Brad Heritage scored three goals apiece as the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team rebounded for a 12-9 victory over Fairfield on Saturday.

The win pushed Dartmouth's win streak to five after a season-opening loss to Rutgers on February 28.

Trailing, 5-4, at halftime, the Big Green exploded for five goals in the third period, including two by Coffin. That gave Dartmouth a 9-6 lead, and the teams traded three goals each in the final quarter.

The Stags, 4-3 overall, used two first-half goals by Ryan Catterton to help build a lead. Jarrad Wilson and Catterton scored the first two goals of the game for a 2-0 lead before Dartmouth's Tom Daniels answered. Josh Thornton made it 3-1 with 40 seconds left in the opening quarter.

Dartmouth's Coffin and Daniels tied the game, 3-3, at the midway point of the second, before Catterton and Matt Baglio potted two for Fairfield. Dartmouth senior Russell Radebaugh got the Big Green back within one at the half, 5-4.

After Dartmouth junior Ben Grinnell tied the game at 5-5, Heritage scored once and Coffin twice within 1:26 to give the Big Green the lead for good, 8-5, with 9:13 left in the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Heritage scored two more goals and Grinnell added another with 2:43 on the clock.

In the nets, Dartmouth junior Andrew Goldstein made 12 saves, while Fairfield's Michael Kruger stopped nine shots before Corey Gibbons came on in relief for the final 10 minutes for two saves.

The Big Green is on the road next weekend, traveling to Notre Dame on Sunday, April 4.
