The Game Story:
CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Ryan Boyle had four goals and five assists to pace 11th-ranked Princeton to a 18-4 victory over the Harvard Crimson in man's lacrosse on Saturday afternoon on Jordan Field in Cambridge. The Tigers improve to 5-4, 2-1 Ivy with the win, while the Crimsondrops its fifth consecutive game, falling to 4-5, 0-4 in Ancient Eight play.

The game appeared tight at the outset, as Princeton's Dan Clark (Moorestown, NJ) broke the scoring ice with an unassisted goal less than four minutes into the game, standing as the only scoring in the opening frame. Princeton exploded for eight second-quarter tallies, includfour from Boyle. The Tiger defense kept the Crimson off the board for nearly 30 minutes, allowing only a Doug Logigan (Huntington, NY) goal with 1:36 remaining inthe half, to take a 9-1 lead into the intermission.

The Crimson was able to get a pair of goals in the third (from Derek Nowak (New Haven, CT) and Mike Baly (Westfield, NJ)), but saw the Tigers tack on four in the third stanza and five in the fourth for the final 18-4 margin of victory. In addition to Boyle's big day, Brendan Tierney (Princeton, NJ) and Owen Daly (Baltimore, MD) each finished with three goals and an assist , and Sean Hartofilis (Huntington, NY) had two goals and one assist.

Crimson sophomore goalie Jake McKenna (Darien, CT) had an impressive outing despite the final score, making 26 saves. Julian Gould (Valley Cottage, NY) made 15 saves for the Tigers.

Harvard will be in action on Wedesday afternoon, traveling to UMass for a 3 p.m. contest.
