Holy Cross got on the board first early in the first quarter when Dave McWilliams (Northport, NY) rocketed a shot from the top of the crease past the BC goaltender. Holy Cross then cut the lead to 10-9 with 12:59 left in the game when Shawn McGowan (Garden City, NY) notched his second goal of the contest. Once again the Eagles responded as Ian Frankoski scored his second goal of the game to give the Eagles a two goal cushion. HC reduced to one with 5:10 left but that was as close as it would get. Boston College goalie James Karamby notched four saves in the final minute of play as HC peppered the Eagle net.

The Crusaders outshot the Eagles, 40-34, but Karamby stood tall for BC posting 27 saves in the game.
