The Game Story:
Worcester, MA - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to 0-8 on the season after suffering a 16-8 loss to Lehigh this afternoon on the Hart Astroturf. The Mountain Hawks broke open a 3-3 tie in the second quarter with eight unanswered goals to take control of the contest.

Holy Cross jumped out to a 1-0 lead, just 57 seconds into the game, as senior Shaun McGowan (Garden City, NY) ripped a shot into the back of the net. Lehigh answered back with three straight goals before HC senior Mark Tarnuzzer (West Hartford, CT) recorded an unassisted tally with 1:44 left in the first quarter. Freshman Billy Klotz (Derry, NH) evened the score at three with 11:13 left to play in the second quarter but the Mountain Hawks quickly responded. Jeff Weiner sparked Lehigh's eight goal outburst as he answered the HC tally with one of his own just 12 seconds after Klotz's goal. Holy Cross cut the deficit to five (12-7) at the end of the third period, but that was as close as HC would get.
