| Bethlehem, PA – Sophomore David Walsh scored three goals and added an assist as Lehigh rolled to a 10-2 win over visiting Wagner at the Ulrich Sports Complex on Thursday afternoon. The victory improves Lehigh’s record to 2-1 on the season, while the Seahawks open the season at 0-1. Walsh got Lehigh on the board just 1:09 into the first quarter with an unassisted goal, as Lehigh built a quick 4-0 lead through the first quarter of play. Wagner got a goal in the second, but by then Lehigh had already built a 6-0 advantage. The Mountain Hawks out-shot the Seahawks by a 35-15 count in the win. Four goalies saw time in net for the Mountain Hawks, led by four saves made by sophomore Dusty Granet. Lehigh returns to action on Saturday, when the Mountain Hawks open Patriot League play at Army. Game time is set for 1:00 pm from West Point. |
