The Game Story:
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. Senior Andrew Kelleher (Delmar, N.Y.) scored four goals including the game winner with 1 second remaining in regulation to lift Vermont to an 8-7 victory over Marist in its season opener at Tenney Stadium. Freshman Geoff Worley (Coronado, Calif.) added two goals as the Catamounts won their season opener for the first time since 2005.

Senior Justin Lubas (Freehold, N.J.) made 13 saves to earn the win. Sophomore Liam Thomas (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.) and freshman Thomas Galvin (Cockeysville, Md.) both added goals for the Catamounts.

Junior Ryan Sharky had a team-high three goals for the Red Foxes.

Sharky tied the game 7-7 for Marist when he scored with 48 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Kelleher answered with the game winner for the Catamounts when he scooped up a loose ball in front of the cage and found the net as time expired.

Vermont out shot Marist 36-25. The Catamounts went 0-for-5 on the man advantage while the Red Foxes finished 4-for-10.

Vermont returns to action on Tuesday in its home opener at Moulton Winder Field at 3 p.m. against Dartmouth.
