Quinnipiac vs. Hartford

The Game Story:
The Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team scored 12 of the first 13 goals of the game and cruised to a 14-9 victory over the University of Hartford on Wednesday afternoon in Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats improve to 6-4 overall with the victory, while Hartford falls to 3-8.

Senior Josh Murray paced the Bobcats with six points, scoring four goals and setting up two others.

Quinnipiac scored the first five goals of the game. Murray netted a pair, while Kevin Browne, Eric Trama and Chris Griffin each tallied one. After a Hartford goal, Eddie Morley scored with four seconds left in the opening frame to make it 6-1 after one quarter.

Quinnipiac then scored the first six goals of the second quarter. Murray opened the second quarter scoring and was quickly followed by a goal from Jimmy Montana. Sean McBride sandwiched two goals around a Tucker Prudden score before Griffin closed out Quinnipiac's first half scoring. Hartford scored one before the break to make it 12-2 at halftime.

Trama and Murray added third quarter goals for the Bobcats, who led 14-4 after three frames. Hartford scored five fourth quarter goals.

Goalie James Nastro made four saves to earn the win for Quinnipiac.

The Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team returns to action on April 22 for a home game against Providence at 1 p.m.
