Quinnipiac vs. Hartford

The Game Story:
Hamden, Conn - Quinnipiac men's lacrosse suffers a tough loss to Hartford in its final America East Conference game, 15-13. QU's Joe Baglio reached the 201 points mark after scoring three goals.

QU came out strong scoring the first three goals. Hartford made a come back by putting in two goals before the end of the first quarter. QU's John Giordano opened the scoring up off a pass from Jeff Speed. Less than a minute later Andy Pelletier grabbed a pass from James Glick to make it 2-0. Joe Baglio put home the third goal off a pass from Giordano to end their first quarter scoring.

Hartford made a come back by putting in two goals before the end of the first quarter. It was Eckler and Wilson who each found the net, putting HU on the board, 3-2.

Things started to turn around for Hartford in the second half, as they scored 7 goals. QU was able to put in three, the first, unassisted, from Jim Lollo. Mike Baglio and Pelletier both found the net for QU.

QU tried to pull things together, once Hartford took the 11-9 lead, but was held to only four goals in the fourth quarter. Mike Baglio knocked the first two home and then assisted Pelletier. Justin Smith was able to score the final goal of the game, but it proved to be too late for QU.

Hartford's four goals in the 4th quarter clinched the 15-13 win. The loss drops QU's record to 6-5 overall and 2-3 in the America East.

Goalkeeper TJ Barnett saved 23 shots, while Hartford's Rorke Greene saved 15 shots.
