Quinnipiac vs. Binghamton

The Game Story:
Josh Murray had two goals and Eddie Morley had a goal and two assists, but the Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team lost to the Binghamton Bearcats, 6-3, in America East action on Saturday afternoon in Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats fall to 2-10 (1-4 AE), while the Bearcats improve to 3-8 (3-2 AE).

Matt McNamara got the scoring started for the Bearcats 3:46 into the first period when he fired a shot past Quinnipiac goalie James Nastro.

The Bobcats tied the score just over three minutes later when Murray took a feed from Morley and buried a shot past Binghamton goalie Kevin McKeown.

The Bearcats responded by scoring the game's next five goals to take a 6-1 lead with 6:12 to play in the third quarter.

Quinnipiac tried to claw its way back into the game with goals by Morley and Murray, however it could get no closer than three goals.

Nastro made six saves in net for the Bobcats, while McKeown made 12 saves for the Bearcats.

Quinnipiac will play its final regular season game on Saturday, April 30 when it hosts Vermont in America East action. The game will start at 1:00 p.m. in Hamden, Conn. Before the game, the Bobcats will honor their two player senior class, Rud Nast and Leigh DiPace, for their accomplishments and contributions to the program.
