Four Great Danes notch hat tricks in 17-5 victory

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Albany held Siena scoreless for a 26-minute stretch en route to a 17-5 victory Thursday afternoon at Siena field. With the win, Albany improves to 6-6 while the Saints fell to 1-8.

The Great Danes got out of the gate quickly, racing to a 5-0 lead before Siena responded with two goals late in the first quarter. Albany led 9-4 when the Saints went scoreless for 26 minutes, during which time the Danes scored six unanswered goals to put the game out of reach.

Chris Driscoll led the victors with four goals and an assist while Luke Daquino added two goals and three assists. Michael Solazzo, Brendan Russell and Conor Quinn all scored three goals for the Great Danes.

Dan Wolpert (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Kennedy) led the Saint with three goals. Tom Nally (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) added a goal and an assist while Kevin Deacon (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham) added two assists.

The Saints hit the road this weekend to face Mt. St. Mary's and VMI.
