The Game Story:
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - March 11, 2003 - The Penn State men's lacrosse team scored six goals in the second quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the Yale Bulldogs as the Lions dropped their second consecutive game 17-15. Penn State is now 1-3, 0-1, in the ECAC.

The game was tied at 12 going into the final 15 minutes of play. Yale notched five goals in the quarter to give them a solid lead. A Nittany Lion comeback fell short as Penn State tallied three goals to finish with 15 on the day. Senior captain Marshall Feldman (Davidsonville, Md./Severn) led the Lions with four goals. Seth Goldberg had a star performance for the Bulldogs as he finished the day with three goals and two assists.

The game remained close the entire 60 minutes as neither team held more than a one goal lead. Yale went ahead early with a 4-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lions went into the half with a 9-8 lead after they posted six goals in the second quarter. Both teams came out strong in the third quarter however the Bulldogs outscored the Lions 4-3 to bring the match to a 12-12 tie heading into the fourth quarter.

Yale out shot Penn State in the game 41-35. Senior captain goalie Chris Garrity (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) made 18 saves giving him a total of 59 on the season. Bulldog goalie Roy Skeen finished with a career high 20 saves.

The Nittany Lions continue their road trip when they travel to Ithaca, N.Y. on March 15 to take on Cornell at 12:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast by WMAJ Radio (1450 AM).
