The Game Story:
VESTAL, N.Y. -- Freshman midfielder Kevin Crowley scored 15 seconds into the first sudden-death overtime period, propelling Stony Brook (7-4, 3-1 AE) to a 7-6 win over Binghamton (3-7, 1-3 AE) in an America East Conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The game was televised regionally on MSG Plus.

Crowley's game winner was set up by freshman face off specialist Adam Rand, who started the overtime period by winning the draw and scooping up the ground ball. Rand passed the ball to Crowley who stormed by the defense and netted his third goal of the game.

Binghamton had taken a 6-5 lead with 1:45 left in regulation on a goal by sophomore attack Jeff Rurey (Vestal, N.Y.). Just 56 seconds later, however, freshman attack Jordan McBride scored his third goal of the game, deadlocking the score at 6-6.

Sophomore attack Andy Cook (Vestal, N.Y.) scored three first-half goals as the Bearcats took a 4-3 lead into the break. His final goal, with 1:26 remaining, broke a 3-3 tie.

Junior midfielder Kevin Joy (Camilus, N.Y.) made it 5-3 at the 8:32 mark of the third quarter but McBride scored just eight seconds later. With 3:15 left in the third quarter, Crowley tied the game off a feed from McBride, setting the stage for the final stage of the game.

Binghamton outshot Stony Brook 35-24 but sophomore goalie Rob Camposa recorded nine saves. The Seawolves won 10 of the 17 faceoffs, including seven of eight in the second half and overtime.

Binghamton closes out its regular season schedule next Saturday at Hartford at 1 p.m.
