The Game Story:
BALTIMORE, Md. - The St. John's men's lacross team opened its season on a winning note, beating Robert Morris, 12-3, in Baltimore, Md. Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Tom Michaelsen led the Red Storm attack with three goals and three assists, and goalkeeper Dave Saccente made five saves in the win.

After Robert Morris (1-1) scored the game's first goal, St. John's charged back with eight straight goals and never looked back. Michaelsen, Rob Gannon (two goals, one assist) and Justin O'Donnell (two goals, one assist) all got into the act, as the Red Storm moved to 1-0 on the season.

The team continues its 2006 season and opens ECAC play next Saturday, March 4 at Georgetown. The 1 p.m. game precedes the Red Storm's home opener, a 1 p.m. contest against Drexel.
