The Game Story:
MEN'S LACROSSE ROLLS PAST BRYANT 10-4

Garden City, N.Y.--Junior Tyler Heavenor notched three goals and two assists to lead the top-ranked Adelphi University Panthers to a 10-4 victory over Bryant College, Saturday afternoon at Stiles Field. The Panthers move to 2-0 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 0-2.

Adelphi jumped out to an early first quarter lead with junior Matt McGeehan scoring the first of his two goals 4:06 into the game. Just over a minute later, Heavenor scored on an assist from sophomore Kim Delfs as the Panthers ended the quarter up 2-0. Bryant tied the game at 2-2 with two goals late in the second quarter, holding Adelphi scoreless.

A minute into the third quarter, McGeehan registered his second goal on an assist from sophomore Jesse Sorensen (one of four in the game). The Panthers rattled off two more goals, including an extra-man goal by senior Ryan Clauss, to end the quarter 5-2.

Bryant provided another scare for Adelphi, rattling off back-to-back goals within the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. However, this would prove to be the last opportunity for the Bulldogs. Heavenor scored his third goal on a spectacular back-handed shot on an assist from David Toy to spur a 5-0 rally. Over the last seven minutes of play, Delfs accounted for Adelphi's final two goals to end the game, 10-4. Freshman Mark Miller had 16 saves for the Panthers.

Kevin Barletta led Bryan with two goals and one assist. Jon Yengling had one goal and one assist. Tim Fox had 14 saves. Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, March 16 at LeMoyne at 1:00 p.m.
