The Game Story:
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Visiting Saint Michael's opened the game on an 8-0 on its way to a 16-5 win over the American International College men's lacrosse team Tuesday afternoon at John Homer Miller Field. The Purple Knights improved to 6-5 on the year and 5-3 in the Northeast-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 1-7 overall and 0-7 in conference play. Freshman Aaron McNab (West Springfield, Mass.) scored one goal with two assists for AIC.

Senior Greg Lazarus (Evanston, Ill.) scored three straight goals in the four minutes of the game as Saint Michael's opened the contest on an 8-0 that was capped by a gal from sophomore Nate Noble (Burlington, Vt.) 2:35 into the second quarter.

Freshman Dustin Paquette (New Haven, Vt.) got the Yellow Jackets on the board midway through the second frame off a feed from classmate Alex Casparius (Portland, Maine) and senior Mike Boerma (Concord, Mass.) answered with a man-up goal two minutes later to give the Purple Knights 9-1 lead at the half.

Junior Peter Pikulski (Cheshire, Mass.) registered a game-high five points for Saint Michael's, scoring two goals with three assists. Lazarus finished with four goals and Boerma tallied two goals with two assists for four points. Casparius also had a multi-point game for AIC, recording two assists.

Senior Jeff Hannon (Wilbraham, Mass.) made one save in the first quarter in recording the win in goal and sophomore Zach Jandl (Brookline, N.H.) made 10 saves over the final three quarters.

Freshman Max Castleman (Wilbraham, Mass.) took the loss for AIC after allowing nine goals and making six saves in the first half. Classmate Mark Taylor (North Andover, Mass.) allowed seven goals and registered three stops in the second half.

The Yellow Jackets will next Bentley Saturday at 1 p.m. in a Northeast-10 contest.
