Bryant vs. Le Moyne
April 2, 2005
The Game Story:
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Junior Jason Longo (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) scored
three goals and dished out an assist to lead top-ranked Le Moyne to an
8-1 win over eighth-ranked Bryant in a Northeast-10 Conference men's
lacrosse game at Bryant University. The Dolphins (5-0, 5-0 Northeast-10
Conference) move their overall win streak to 21 straight and their
Northeast-10 Conference regular season streak to 55 consecutive games.
Bryant (3-2, 2-1 Northeast-10) suffers its first league setback of the
season.

Junior Ryan Lewis (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) provided all the
scoring the Dolphins would need in the opening quarter. He tossed home a
rebounded shot to put the defending national champions on the board at
the 8:08 mark and delivered his second goal of the game from 20 yards
out with 4:53 remaining in the opening quarter.

Le Moyne opened up a 4-0 lead before Bryant freshman Brent Stoothoof
netted the only goal for the hosts in the final second of the opening
half.

Senior Matt Holdridge (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham) scored two goals and
Craig Rosecrans (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) contributed one goal to join
Longo and Lewis into the scoring column.

Le Moyne returns home for another Northeast-10 Conference contest, and
its first on-campus game this season, Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Saint
Anselm.
