| Tampa, Fla. – Junior midfielder Matt Chadderdon (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) scored four goals and dished out an assist to lead second-ranked Le Moyne to a 21-7 win over Catawba on Friday morning in non-conference men’s lacrosse action at Jesuit High School. Chadderdon, who was named the Northeast-10 Conference player of the week after scoring five goals in Sunday’s 8-6 win over Limestone, registered his eighth career game with at least four points. Freshman Doug Bailey (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) scored the first three goals of his career, while classmate Nick Frechette (Manlius, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) recorded two goals and an assist for his first career points. Juniors Jack Harmatuk (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/Syracuse U.) and Nick DiSarro (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) also totaled multiple goals with two apiece. With his two goals, Harmatuk has scored at least one goal in 18 consecutive games. Junior attackman Vinnie Alexander (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) and sophomore midfielder John Albanese (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) tallied one goal and one assist each. Le Moyne, which has won 36 consecutive regular season games, also got goals from junior midfielder Corey Bulken (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker), junior attackman Jack Venditti (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and sophomore midfielders Taylor Brooks (Cypress, Texas/Cy-Fair) and Mike Byrnes (Preble, N.Y./Tully). Freshman Jeff White (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius HS) and sophomore Matt Krupka (Nedrow, N.Y./Onondaga) split time in the goal for the Dolphins. Le Moyne (3-0), which went undefeated against non-conference opponents in the regular season for the eighth consecutive season, returns to action on Saturday, March 20 for its home opener against Adelphi at 3:00 p.m. Due to the game being played at a neutral site, further details and a full box score will be available on Monday. |
