Catawba vs. Limestone

The Game Story:
SALISBURY, N.C.-The Limestone College men's lacrosse team defeated
conference-rival Catawba, 18-9, on Saturday afternoon. The Saints
improve to 5-4 overall and 5-1 in Deep South Conference play, while
Catawba falls to 2-6 overall (2-4 DSC).



Limestone out-shot the Indians, 41-29, and had 49 groundballs
compared the hosts' 30. Both teams were even in face-offs, winning 15
a piece.



Drew Comeau (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) led the Saints with five
goals. Harley Beekman (Amsterdam, N.Y.), Neil Harris (Pasadena, Md.),
Pat Beall (Mt. Airy, Md.), and Derek Franzen (Mansfield, Mass.) each
scored a pair. Ryan Verilli (Manassa, Va.), Ryan Collins (Black
River, N.Y.), Brad Patridge (Dublin, Ohio), Alex Callihan
(Centreville, Md.), and Colin Bell (Victoria, British Columbia) each
scored. Verilli and Collins tallied assists.



Limestone returns to action on April 1 when the Saints host
conference-rival Wingate at 2:30 p.m. in Gaffney, S.C. at Saints
Field.
