The Game Story:
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 21, 2012) – Senior attacker Doug Hoch (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) scored a game-high four goals to lead C.W. Post past Dominican College, 15-1, in an East Coast Conference men's lacrosse game played Saturday afternoon on Hickox Field.

The Pioneers improve to 5-5 overall and 3-5 in the ECC while Dominican drops to 1-9 overall and 0-6 in conference action.

The Pioneers scored six unmatched goals through the first half and were led by a pair each from Hoch and junior attacker Justin Patterson (Corning, N.Y.).

The scoring continued with six more unanswered goals in the third quarter to lead 12-0.

In the fourth quarter, senior attacker Keith Rodriguez (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) hit the net on a pass from Patterson at 13:16. Hoch followed with a goal from sophomore midfielder Octovio Bernabo (Mahopac, N.Y.) at 11:18.

The Chargers scored their only goal of the game when Thomas Dertinger scored on a feed from Korin Pierce at 10:25.

The Pioneers scored their final goal of the game with 52 seconds left in regulation when senior midfielder Wade Ungar (Middle Island, N.Y.) scored his third goal of the season.

The Pioneers finished the game outshooting the Chargers, 53-8, and held a 37-19 advantage on ground balls.

Patterson and sophomore attacker Connor Mackay (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) each registered a hat trick. Patterson added three assists to lead the game with seven points.

C.W. Post returns to action on Saturday, April 28 at Molloy College for a 1 p.m. start.

Prior to the start of the game, head coach John Jez and the Pioneers honored their six graduating seniors:Hoch, Ungar, Rodriguez, Eddie Plompen (West Islip, N.Y.), John Hannan (Gansevoort, N.Y.) and James Kozlakowski (Lynbrook, N.Y.).
