Green Mountain vs. Maine Maritime

The Game Story:
POULTNEY, Vt. – Maine Maritime saw 11 different players find the twine as the Mariners hammered Green Mounain 23-3 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) lacrosse on Saturday. The Mariners (4-5, 4-1 NAC) won their fourth-straight game. They remain unblemished through six meetings with the Eagles (0-8, 0-5 NAC).

Maine Maritime had seven players produce multiple points, led by Tom Houle's (Manchester, N.H.) hat trick and four assists. Brian Corain (Berwick, Maine) dumped in five goals, and was one of four players to amass five points in the game. Andrew DiSalvo (Glastonbury, Conn.) scored twice and assisted on three more to bring his career totals to 108 goals and 103 assists for 211 points. He needs five points to pass Chris Keiley as the Mariners all-time leading point scorer.

Freshmen, Bronson Guimond (Portland, Maine) and A.J. Larrabee (Farmington, Maine) both posted five points as well. Guimond matched DiSalvo's output, while Larrabee scored four goals and registered an assist.

The Mariners jumped on Green Mountain early and often, building a 20-0 lead before Oliver Osnoss finally answered 43:24 into the game. Osnoss later assisted a goal to finish his day with a pair of points and six ground balls.

Gavin Cote (Arundel, Maine) worked the cage for the first quarter, denying the only shot he saw. Oscar Adams (Alexandria, Va.) handled the final 45, turning aside four shots and allowing three goals.

Maine Maritime outshot their hosts 45-16 and won 22 of the game's 29 faceoffs. The Mariners held a 41-24 advantage in ground balls.
