TOP SEEDS LE MOYNE AND PACE ADVANCE TO NORTHEAST-10 MEN^S LACROSSE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

SYRACUSE, N.Y. Top seeds Le Moyne and Pace advanced to Saturday's Northeast-10 Conference Championship game with semifinal men^s lacrosse wins at Le Moyne College. No. 1 seed Le Moyne (13-0) ran past Bentley 19-2, while Pace (11-2) shot past Bryant 14-10. The Dolphins and Setters will meet in tomorrow's title game at 1 p.m.

Trevor Ames (Black River, N.Y./Carthage) scored four goals to lead No. 1 Le Moyne to its fourth consecutive appearance in the NE-10 Championship game. The Dolphins, ranked atop the nation's Division II poll every week this season, broke open an 8-1 game with nine unanswered goals in the third period.

Thirteen different players scored for Le Moyne. Dan Holdridge (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham), Corey Sullivan (LaFayette, N.Y./LaFayette) and Kyle Reichel (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) netted two goals each.

Andrew Colletti and Jordan Benjamin tallied the goals for Bentley.

In the nightcap, James Watson scored three goals and Colin Achenbach tallied seven points as Pace downed Bryant 14-10. Freshman goalkeeper Larry Petriccione made 12 saves in the victory.

Bryant hopped out to a 4-2 lead in the opening period. Jon Yuengling capped the Bulldogs opening period, scoring with six seconds remaining. Pace battled with three of the four second quarter goals to make it a 5-5 game at the half.

After Stehpen Coppinger scored for Bryant to make it 7-7, Pace rattled off seven of the game^s next nine goals to take a commanding 14-9 lead.
