| SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Jeff Sanford (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt)
scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Le Moyne to a 12-4
Northeast-10 Conference victory over Bryant at Le Moyne College. The
Dolphins (5-2, 4-0 Northeast-10) have won 24 consecutive Northeast-10
Conference regular season games.
Le Moyne was ranked fifth in the USILA Division II poll, while Bryant earned the No. 10 ranking this week. Junior goalkeeper Tom Kimble (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) sparkled between the pipes for the Dolphins. He stopped 16 shots, including a six-save effort that helped Le Moyne pull away in the third quarter. Freshman Brent Disinski (Columbus, Ga./Horseheads (N.Y.) HS/Herkimer CC) set the tone early for Le Moyne. The midfielder tallied the first of his team's five first quarter goals 48 seconds into play. The Dolphins led 5-0 after one quarter, 6-2 at the half and extended it to a 10-3 advantage to start the final quarter. Le Moyne hosts Assumption in another conference game on Sunday at 11 a.m. |
