Le Moyne vs. Pace

The Game Story:
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Jeff Sanford (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) and sophomore Corey Sullivan (LaFayette, N.Y./LaFayette) led Le Moyne to an 11-7 victory over Pace in a Northeast-10 Conference men's lacrosse contest at Le Moyne College. The Dolphins (8-2, 7-0 Northeast-10), ranked third in the latest USILA Division II poll, run their conference regular season winning streak to 27 games.

Scott Rexach (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) and Joe Dlabola (Levittown, N.Y./Division) scored in the first four minutes to stake the Setters to a 2-0 lead,

Sullivan sparked a three-goal Le Moyne run with a pair of goals. His first came on the man-up off a feed from Sanford and he tied the contest at two off a Paul Isgar (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) pass midway through the opening period. Freshman Bob Tulowiecki (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) netted Le Moyne a short-lived 3-2 lead four minutes later.

Pace (4-2, 4-2 Northeast-10) tied the game for the final time with a man-advantage goal from John Hemsley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) with 3:22 remaining in the opening quarter.

Le Moyne senior midfielder Marty Moore (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) scored with eight seconds left in the quarter to start a 4-0 run that turned a tie game into a 7-3 Le Moyne advantage early in the third quarter. Pace got to within striking distance at 7-5 on a goal from Liam Scully (West Nyack, N.Y./Clarkstown South) with 5:32 remaining in the third.

Brent Disinski (Columbus, Ga./Horseheads) and Sanford scored to put the Dolphins back up four early in the fourth quarter.

Sanford and Sullivan each netted three goals and tallied two assists to pace the Le Moyne offense. Scully scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Pace.

Junior goalkeeper Tom Kimble (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) stopped 10 shots for Le Moyne, while freshman netminder Adam Skiadas (Binghamton, N.Y./Binghamton) made 16 saves for Pace.
