The Game Story:
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Tournament Most Valuable Player Ryan Spillett (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) had a hand in seven goals as top-ranked Le Moyne beat No. 3 Pace 19-9 for third consecutive STX/Northeast-10 Conference Men^s Lacrosse Championship. The Dolphins (14-0) outscored the visitors 18-5 for their 14th win of the season.

Brandon Spillett (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool), Ryan^s cousin, scored a game-high five goals. Dan Holdridge (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham) netted four and Jason Brown (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) tallied three times for the Dolphins. Ryan Spillett^s six assists give him 40 for the season and a program-record 141 for his career. Freshman Colin Achenbach (Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley) scored four goals for Pace.

The Setters jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the opening period. Liam Scully (West Nyack, N.Y./Clarkstown South), Achenbach (twice), and NE-10 Freshman of the Year Jeremy Jablonski (Mastic, N.Y./William Floyd) scored for the second-seeded visitors.

After the two clubs traded goals at the start of the second quarter, Holdridge sparked a 7-0 Le Moyne run that turned a 5-2 deficit into a 9-5 lead with 7:22 remaining in the third quarter. Holdridge (twice), Mike Moran (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown IHC), Brandon Spillett (twice), Kyle Reichel (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) and Jason Brown (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) scored over the decisive run.

Le Moyne finished off Pace with a 7-2 scoring edge in the fourth quarter.

For the game, the Dolphins were 5-for-10 on their extra-man opportunities, collected a 51-36 advantage in ground balls and won 19-of-31 faceoffs.

Goalkeeper Tom Kimble (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) stopped eight shots for Le Moyne, while Larry Petriccione (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) made eight saves for Pace.
