The Game Story:
GAFFNEY, S.C. – No.5 Limestone outscored No.9 Mars Hill 12-0 over a 36:14 stretch overcoming a one goal first quarter deficit in route to posting a 15-5 win over the Lions in a non-conference yet crucial NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse South Region showdown at “The Rock” on Saturday, March 7. Saints Senior goalie Steve Gartelman (Seaford, N.Y.) made 17 saves while fellow classmate and midfielder Jackson Decker (Port Moody, British Columbia) scored four goals as Limestone improved to 11-1 overall and in the process extended their NCAA Division II South Region win streak to 44 games which includes an 11-0 mark on the season while the Lions dropped to 11-2 both overall and within region action.

Limestone returns to action on Saturday, April 14 hosting Conference Carolinas and rival Pfeiffer at “The Rock” where the opening face-off is slated for 1 p.m. The Saints, winners of 23 consecutive league games and the Falcons are tied atop the standings, each 4-0, with the winner earning the No.1 for the Conference tournament later this month. Limestone has captured 23 consecutive conference contests.
