The Game Story:
RIDGEFIELD, CT- The #4 Merrimack men's lacrosse team cruised to a 14-6 non-conference victory over Rollins Thursday evening at Ridgefield High School's Tiger Hollow Stadium. The Warriors elevate to 3-0 on the year while the Tars sink to 3-8 overall. Corey Lunney (Little Silver, NJ) scored four goals to lead Merrimack's offense. Greg Melaugh (Billerica, MA) racked up three goals and three assists. Freshman Jamie Shand (Massapequa, NY) dished out four helpers on the evening in the win. In goal, Morgan Green (Portsmouth, RI) made 10 saves to earn the victory. The Warriors boasted a 7-1 lead at the midway point of the match. Up next, Merrimack will travel to face Saint Rose in the first Northeast-10 Conference tilt of the 2012 campaign.
