The Game Story:
LAURINBURG, N.C. - Keith Belward and Zach Mryncza tallied four goals and two assists each to lead St. Andrews Presbyterian College in a 16-2 victory over Mars Hill College in Deep South Conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

St. Andrews (2-1, 2-0 in DSC) scored 14 straight goals before Mars Hill (0-1, 0-1 in DSC) would end the Knights' shutout bid in the fourth period. The Knights fired off seven goals in the first quarter and three in the second to take a10-0 lead at the break. St. Andrews would score twice in the third period and four times in the final frame.

Jimmy Herberson added three goals and two assists to the St. Andrews tally. Pat Haley had two goals and one assist while winning nine of 11 face-offs. Pat Fitzgerald recorded a team-high three assists with one goal, and Brendon Burke had two assists.

Jack Riggins and Kenny Noel scored for the Lions, and Sean Humphreys had one assist.

Peter Gut accumulated a season-high 15 ground balls to lead the Knights. St. Andrews grabbed 75 ground balls while Mars Hill came away with 42.

SAPC's Kevin Woods had five saves and recorded a shutout in 45 minutes of play. Sean Jaramillo made eight saves for the Knights. Chris Kingston had 12 saves for Mars Hill while Matt Holthaus had one. St. Andrews will travel to Wheeling Jesuit Wednesday for a non-conference match-up.
