The Game Story:
COLCHESTER, Vt.- Six second-period goals from the Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse team (5-5, 4-3 NE-10) propelled the Purple Knights past the Falcons of Bentley College (5-5, 3-4 NE-10) on Saturday afternoon at Duffy Field, 9-7, in conference play. On 'Senior Day', seniors Mike Boerma (Concord, Mass./Lawrence Acad.) and Greg Lazarus (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) each registered a hat trick and one assist in Saint Michael's second straight triumph. Senior goalkeeper Jeff Hannon (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) was nimble in net with 12 saves on the afternoon, including eight in the second frame.

Boerma's trio of goals all came in the second-period explosion from the Purple Knights. After being held scoreless in the opening frame, Saint Michael's scored five unanswered goals to build a 6-3 halftime lead. Lazarus scored his goals later in the contest, including a fourth quarter eventual game-winner three minutes into the segment.

Helping Bentley jump out to a 2-0 lead after one quarter was junior Andy Curtis (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford), who scored a pair of goals on the afternoon to lead the Falcons. Junior goalkeeper Kris Dambach (Central Chester, N.J./West Morris) recorded eight saves, while dropping his second straight contest.

Saint Michael's returns to action on Tuesday, April 15 in Springfield, Massachusetts to take on American International at 4 p.m. With a week off, Bentley looks to snap a two-game skid versus American International on Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m.
