| COLCHESTER, Vt.- Jumping on the Ravens of Franklin Pierce (2-3, 1-1 NE-10) in the first half, 9-1, the Saint Michael's men's lacrosse team (3-2, 2-0 NE-10) posted a shutout second half and earned their second Northeast-10 Conference victory, 15-1, on Wednesday afternoon at Duffy Field. Of eight Purple Knights that scored, senior Greg Lazarus (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) led all scorers with four goals, all in the first half. Also helping the Saint Michael's cause was senior Mike Boerma (Concord, Mass./Lawrence Acad.) who scored three goals (the fifth straight game in which he has done so) and one assist, all in the first half. Sophomore Charlie Niznansky (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) also tallied a trio of goals to propel the Purple Knights past the Ravens. Sophomore goalkeeper Zach Jandl (Brookline, N.H./Vermont Acad.) relieved senior Jeff Hannon (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Reg.) in the second half to stop all six shots he faced. Hannon improved his record to 3-2 on the year with the win. For the Ravens, senior Luke Ferreira (Farmington, Maine/Mount Blue) scored the team's lone goal on an assist from freshman Jack Scanlan (Great Neck, N.Y./Great Neck North). Freshman goalkeeper Shea Campbell (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) dropped his season mark to 1-3 with the loss, stopping six shots in the first half.
