| Blauvelt, NY (3/21/07) The Molloy College Lions lacrosse team roared past the visiting Dominican College Chargers, 11-5 this afternoon. With the win, the Lions improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the East Coast Conference (ECC) while the Chargers falls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the ECC. Molloy jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 7-1 at the half en route to the 11-5 victory. Owen Smith III (Cornwall, NY) led the Chargers with three goals and two assists. Jeremy Arcaro (New Windsor, NY) had two goals in the loss. Goal keeper Joe Assante (Weston, NY) had 13 saves. The Chargers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Dowling College in ECC men's lacrosse action. |
