The Game Story:
Hillburn, NY (3/17/10) The Dominican College men's lacrosse game dropped a non-conference game to the visiting Purple Knights of Saint Michael's College, 13-7, this afternoon at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

The Chargers scored the game's first goal with 12:05 left in the first quarter as junior midfielder Christopher Jones (Saugerties, NY) recorded his third goal of the season off the assist from freshman Connor Lawlor (Neptune City, NJ). The Purple Knights went on to score four consecutive goals to end the first quarter with a 4-1 lead.

DC came back to net two straight goals to start the second quarter and cut the lead to 4-3. Junior attacker Daniel Metoyer (San Diego, CA) netted his lone goal of the game off the dish from junior Alex Jones (St. Albert, AB). A. Jones picked up his second assist with 8:18 second left before halftime as he passed the ball to junior Jesse Peterson (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) who netted his only goal of the game. Saint Michael's once again went on a 4-0 run to head into the intermission with an 8-3 lead.

After a SMC goal to start the third quarter, Dominican went on another 2-0 run with Metoyer repaying the favor to A. Jones, who netted his first goal of the game with 8:53 left in the third quarter. Seven seconds later C. Jones tallied his second goal of the game to cut the deficit to 9-5. Two Saint Michael's goals towards the end the third quarter game them an 11-5 advantage, but the Chargers closed out the quarter with A. Jones's second goal of the game and put the team withing five goals, 11-6.

The Purple Knights regained a six goal advantage with the fourth quarter's first goal before A. Jones recorded the hat trick with his third goal of the game with 9:42 left. SMC ended the scoring with a goal with 7:29 left in the game for the final 13-7 score.

A. Jones led the Chargers with three goals, while C. Jones finished with two goals.

Charger goalie Brendan Bonacum (Port Jefferson Station, NY) had 13 saves in the loss.

With the loss Dominican falls to 2-2 on the year.

DC is back in action on Saturday when they host Lake Erie College in an East Coast Conference (ECC) game at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. Game time is set for 7:30 pm.
