The Game Story:
Saint Leo, Fla. (March 13, 2007) The Saint Leo University lacrosse team (2-3) could not recover from falling behind 7-2 in the first quarter, and fell 14-7 to visiting Queens University (3-4) on Tuesday afternoon at University Field.

Saint Leo was led by Benjamin Brigham (So., Scituate, Mass) an Nick Bova (Fr., Eureka, Mo.) who scored two goals apiece, while Ryan Harris (Sr., Vestal, N.Y.) added three assists in the loss.

The Lions jumped to an early lead in the contest with Brigham and Harris scoring goals less than a minute apart to give the home team a 2-0 lead. However, Queens stormed back with nine unanswered goals to take a 9-2 lead. SLU closed the half with a pair of goals late in the second quarter but still trailed 9-4 at half-time.

Saint Leo tightened the game by outscoring Queens 2-1 in the third, but the Royals scored four unanswered at the start of the fourth to pull ahead 14-6. Bova rounded out the scoring with his second goal of the game with 2:17 left to play.

SLU will remain home to face Bentley College on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in another non-conference game.
