| BELMONT, N.C.— The No. 3-ranked Limestone College men’s lacrosse team defeated Belmont Abbey 10-6 on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. Limestone improves to 6-0 on the season with the win, and the Crusaders drop to 0-4. The Saints’ Brendan Storrier (LaFayette, N.Y.) and A.J. Vaughn (Skaneateles, N.Y.) each scored two goals. Jake Rogalia (Liverpool, N.Y.), Justin Haworth (Deer Park, N.C.) Michael Poerstel (Annapolis, Md.), Thomas Langan (Potomac, Md.), Eric Turner (Dublin, Ohio) and Sam Buppert (Marriottsville, Md.) also scored. Vaughn and Haworth recorded assists. Limestone led 3-2 at halftime and outscored the Abbey 7-4 in the second period for the victory. Limestone hosts Wingate on Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. in Gaffney, S.C. |
