The Game Story:
The Colorado Mesa University Men's lacrosse team took on the Notre Dame de Namur Argonauts on Sunday, continuing their second season in D-II lacrosse. It was a good day for the Mavericks as 10 different players scored en route to a 11-4 win putting them at 5-2 (3-0 WILA) on the season.

The Mavs added to their total in the second quarter after a goal from Trace Wollner at 13:09 put them up 6-0 before the Argos finally got on the board after a goal coming at 12:10 remaining made the score 6-1. The Argos were able to add another goal at 3:47 to close the gap to 6-2, but a goal from Michael Giffen at 1:55 remaining gave the Mavs a comfortable lead of 7-2 at the break.

The third quarter was relatively quiet as Kade Robinson had the lone goal for either team to give the Mavs an 8-2 lead heading into the final quarter. The Mavs extended their lead to 10-2 after goals from Shane O'Neill and Wollner coming at 12:23 and 5:36, respectively, before the Argos were finally able to break their drought with a goal at 2:25 which made the score 10-3. Zach Bullett was the last Maverick to contribute to the score after a man-down goal coming late in the period made the score 11-3. The Argos were able to add one more to their total with one second remaining in the game to make the score 11-4 final.

Wollner, Caddoo, Russell, Giffen, and Eggiman were all able to add 1 assist to their goal total in an offensive effort that saw everyone seemingly touching the ball before a shot was made.
