Adams State vs. Lindenwood

The Game Story:
The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team broke through on Sunday afternoon with its first Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (WILA) victory. The Lions' offense came alive and helped the team earn a 12-9 victory at Adams State.

The two teams entered the fourth quarter tied at seven, but Lindenwood scored three straight goals to go ahead. Jack Rohan struck first for Lindenwood, followed by a man-advantage score by Joe Roy. Greg Cameron ended the run with a goal for the Lions.

Adams State came back with two goals just 30 seconds apart to get within one with 3:23 left in the game. McNein Hewitt took over then for the Lions, scoring twice in the final two minutes to seal the victory.

Lindenwood won despite giving up the first five goals of the game. The Lions were able to even up the game and took a one-goal lead by halftime with a 6-0 scoring run.

Hewitt and Cameron both finished with three goals and Hewitt also assisted on a score. Josh Arras had five points with one goal and four assists. Carter McCracken scored twice and the other goal came from Grame Hossack.

Jake Redlingshafer came off the bench and made 10 saves in nearly 52 minutes in goal. He earned his first collegiate win of his career. Richard Wilson led the team with 11 groundballs and Hossack had a team-high three caused turnovers. Wilson was 18-of-21 on faceoffs.
