The Game Story:
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 29, 2012) – The Men’s Lacrosse team won their second game of the season this evening, defeating Medaille College 13-9.

The Raiders got on the board quickly when Felix DeClercq blasted a shot home just two minutes into the game. The home team never looked back as they never trailed in the game and were tied only twice in the first period.

The largest lead came less than a minute into the 4th period when Craig Petit scored his second goals of the game to make it a 12-5 Raiders lead.

The Raiders scored in bunches, with the team scoring three straight goals on three different occasions.

Medaille would score four out of the last five goals to make a four goal lead to finish out the game.

Leading the Raiders was Brett Capps with his five goals and one assist. Junior Colin Cornaire added three goals to go along with one assts on the night.

David Smith scored two goals in the game to add to his team-leading 18 goals. The freshman is second on the team with 23 points. Cornaire leads the team with 25 (16 goals, 9 assists).

Anthony Nucci Lauria dominated the face-offs, winning 19 of 23 in the game. The specialist is now 100 of 155 in face-offs this season.

The visitors were led by Brock Levick’s three goals as Drew Belica netted two goals and had an assist.

The Raiders have now won two of their three home games this season and stand at 2-5 overall on the season.
