Lake Erie (1-0) led 9-7 heading into the final frame before junior Trevor Tarte (Amherstburg, Ontario/Kiski Prep) scored twice and sophomore Justin Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster Secondary) added his second goal of the game to push the Storm lead to 12-7. Tarte, Bal and freshman Ryan Jurek (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) each scored early to give the Storm a 3-0 lead.
