The Game Story:
Center Valley, PA (March 26, 2008) Ė The DeSales University menís lacrosse team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end as Wesley College defeated the Bulldogs, 15-2, in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wolverines (7-3 overall) opened up a 10-0 lead before the Bulldogs (4-3 overall) got on the board with 31 seconds left in the second period. WC out-shot DSU, 36-27, and held a 41-36 edge in ground balls. The Bulldogs did control the face-offs winning 13-of-20 in the game.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were seniors Dan Thomer (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) and Jay Young (Pittstown, NJ/North Hunterdon). Thomer also added an assist in the loss. Senior Sam Gobeli (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) won 7-of-10 face-offs and picked up a team-high five ground balls, while fellow senior Shane Corley (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) was 6-of-8 on face-offs and picked up two ground balls.

Freshman Justin Campanelli (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) played in between the pipes in relief of starting keeper, sophomore Jarryd Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West), as Campanelli made 12 saves and had two ground balls.

DSU will look to return to the win column on Saturday, March 29th when they travel to Richard Stockton College for a non-conference game beginning at 2:00 pm.
