|WELLESLEY, MASS. -- Nine different players scored goals for Babson College as the Beavers defeated visiting Clark University, 16-2, in Pilgrim League Men?s Lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. It was the third straight win for Babson, which improved to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while Clark dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the Pilgrim League.
Babson was simply overpowering in the first two quarters, scoring 11 unanswered goals while allowing just three shots on net. Senior Darryl Hasen (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) scored three of his four goals in the first half of play, while sophomore Tim Armenta (Kennebunk, Maine) added one goal and two assists as the Beavers took an 11-0 advantage into halftime on their way to the easy 16-2 victory.
Junior Todd MacDowell (Wayland, Mass.) finished the game with two goals and two assists for Babson, while junior Paul DeFina (Concord, Mass.) and first-year Dave Frascogna (Orchard Park, Fla.) combined for eight saves in net. Senior Kyle Devitte (Hopkinton, N.Y.) and first-year Joseph Becher (South Paris, Maine) both scored goals for Clark, while senior John Mangiaratti (Attleboro, Mass.) stopped 12 shots in goal.
