The Game Story:
BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Skidmore College men’s lacrosse team used a suffocating defensive effort to defeat host Babson College, 8-1, in a non-league contest on Wednesday night. With the win, the Thoroughbreds improved to 6-1 on the season, while Babson fell to 4-3.

After sophomore Charlie McNeil (Spencer, Mass.) gave Skidmore a 1-0 lead with 11:30 left in the first quarter, junior Tom Spinella (New Hartford, N.Y.) netted back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart to push the Thoroughbreds’ advantage to 3-0. Spinella would add two more goals in the final three quarters, while senior Brendan Bellefeuille (Wilbraham, Mass.) netted the other three to give Skidmore the eventual 8-1 victory.
