| BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team took a commanding 9-2 halftime lead and cruised to their fourth win of the season in a 12-7 victory over Endicott on Monday evening. The contest, played in a torrential downpour, was the first night lacrosse game in the history of Bowdoin's Howard F. Ryan Field. Bowdoin improves to 4-2 with the win, while Endicott drops to 4-2. Ford Barker scored two goals in a 6-1 spurt to open the contest for the Polar Bears. Bowdoin held a 10-2 advantage before a four-goal outburst from the Gulls drew the visitors to within five goals after three periods. Barker would end with three goals, while Connor Fitzgerald added two goals and an assist. Phil Stern also had two goals for the Polar Bears. Endicott was led by three tallies from Burt Fahy, while Kevin Lally scored two goals and added four assists. Charlie Legg stopped nine shots for Bowdoin, while Ryan Walsh made 14 saves for Endicott. Bowdoin dominated the face-off battle, winning 19 of 22 draws. |
